WATCHDOG MANAGEMENT: PROJECT COORDINATOR

Watchdog Management is a Vancouver-based, world-class artist management firm. The company represents high-caliber, internationally acclaimed touring and recording artists, as well as platinum-selling producers and songwriters.

THE POSITION 

The successful candidate will serve as a Project Coordinator, working closely with Watchdog’s GM and senior project manager on day-to-day client services, as well as generally assisting the company President. The candidate will report to the General Manager and to the President. 
 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Resourcefulness, self-sufficiency, and drive to grow your career 

  • Interest in artist management 

  • Strong administration skills 

  • Experience in music industry, even if limited, is a bonus but not required 

  • Exceptionally organized and able to multi-task and manage time effectively

  • Ability to manage a large volume of tasks

  • Ability to handle challenging situations, be proactive, trouble shoot and problem-solve

  • Knowledge of Photoshop, MS office and Mac computers is an asset 

  • Ability to work as part of a close-knit team 

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Availability outside of regular office hours. If you’re looking for a 9-5 job, this may not be for you
     

PROJECT COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Coordinator will work closely with artists, company President and Project Manager, doing various tasks as directed, including but not limited to: 

  • A variety of administration tasks including schedule upkeep, expense allocations, information and password management, meeting and appointment coordination etc 

  • Music database management 

  • Budgeting

  • Logistics

  • Tour and show coordination including hiring of road crew

  • Calendar upkeep and communication

  • Coordinating tour/show/album marketing

  • Press and promo coordination

  • Marketing idea genesis

  • Coordinating content captures

  • Social media coordination

  • Travel coordination

  • VIP and merchandise coordination

  • Grant applications and wrap reports 

  • Communication with business management

  • Upkeeping artist insurance policies

  • Artist work visas and border crossings

  • Advancing shows 

  • Visual asset management 

  • Many other administrative and creative tasks, as directed
